8th annual meeting of the Japanese-German ICT Policy Dialogue
On 28 November 2024, the 8th annual meeting of the Japanese-German ICT Policy Dialogue took place in Tokyo between the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) and the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC). The central goal was to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of digitalisation and to enhance the framework conditions for the international digital economy in the long term.

Open Industry Roadshow: Exploring the role of data spaces in the Brazilian data economy
In November 2024, the Secretariat for the Digital Dialogues in Brazil co-organised the Open Industry Roadshow with the Brazilian IoT Association (ABINC) and the German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association (VDMA). The roadshow took place in four different Brazilian cities and underscored the transformative potential of data spaces to leverage the country's data economy.

On 21 and 22 November, the partner countries of the Digital Dialogues came together at the International Digital Dialogues Conference in Berlin. More than 100 representatives from politics, business, civil society, and academia discussed digital policy issues in working groups and panels.

Second annual meeting of the Indonesian-German Digital Dialogue
On 25 November 2024, the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) and the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs (MCDA) convened in Berlin for the annual meeting of the Indonesian-German Digital Dialogue. The meeting was held during the International Digital Dialogue Conference (IDDC). It marked the second year of a strong and growing partnership between Indonesia and Germany, while setting the agenda for shared priorities in the year ahead.

Digital Summit 2024: International cooperation between innovation and regulation

Follow Up Exchange on the Management and Operations of 5G
On 30 October 2024, the Secretariat of the Indonesian – German Digital Dialogue, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) and the Indonesian Ministry for Communications and Digital Affairs (MCDA), organised a Follow-up Exchange on the Management and Operations of 5G Connectivity. The event was part of an ongoing series of dialogues on digital infrastructure between Indonesia and Germany.
