Highlights from the International Digital Dialogues
GENERAL

The CCW side event "Nearshoring, Offshoring or Outsourcing? German Growth through International Talent" took place at Estrel in Berlin. The event was jointly organised with the Customer Service & Call Center Verband Deutschland e. V., Invest for Jobs and Partners in Transformation and brought together industry and business associations.

BRAZIL

On 5 and 6 March 2026, a Brazilian delegation of government and civil society representatives visited Brussels. They met with European regulators to exchange on digital regulations and international digital policy. The visit occurs in the context of plans to elevate the bilateral cooperation to a Digital Partnership level later this year.

INDIA

In February, New Delhi was buzzing with energy and a passion to collaborate globally on AI. The India AI Impact Summit brought together AI experts and leaders from around the world. The German Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS) took part and hosted several events under the Indo-German Digital Dialogue.

The annual meeting of the Indo-German Digital Dialogue took place in January 2026. BMDS and the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) affirmed a shared commitment to move from policy exchange to concrete, delivery-oriented cooperation – across artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital public infrastructure, and digital sovereignty.

JAPAN

Expansion of cooperation, as well as specific digital policy concerns – these were the topics of discussion at a meeting of German industry representatives in Tokyo. It took place under the auspices of the Japanese-German Digital Dialogue. The result of the exchange is a more systematic, regular and in-depth involvement of German stakeholders in Japan.

KENYA

In February, the Kenyan-German working group on global business services and IT outsourcing met, as part of the Kenyan-German Digital Dialogue. German and Kenyan companies in the sector of business process and IT outsourcing took part in the meeting. They discussed the "outsourcing boom" as well as the role of trusted data flows for Kenya’s economy.

MEXICO

As part of the Mexican-German Digital Dialogue, the German Association for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW) met with the Mexican Association of Energy Efficiency Companies (AMENEER) and with the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) in March. They identified common priorities for the support of MSMEs and plan to continue collaboration.
