The Indonesian – German Digital Dialogue, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS) and the Indonesian Ministry for Communication and Digital Affairs (MCDA), cordially invites you to the Advancing Responsible AI: Dialogue for Innovation and Cooperation.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data-driven technologies are increasingly central to innovation, productivity and competitiveness across all sectors of the economy. For start-ups, SMEs and large enterprises alike, access to high-quality data and responsible AI deployment are key drivers for growth. However, they also raise complex issues around rights, transparency, accountability and trust that determine whether digital transformation truly benefits people and markets alike. Effective governance of AI requires not only robust regulation but also active engagement of the private sector along with collaborative, agile and vibrant research and innovation system.

The Advancing Responsible AI: Dialogue for Innovation and Cooperation aims not only to further the dialogue on AI governance, but also to:

• Bring together policymakers and relevant stakeholders to discuss and exchange information on best practices on responsible AI, with a focus on insights from the intersection of EU AU Act and EU GDPR
• Discuss specific challenges, lessons learned and business models that combine competitiveness with rights-preserving AI and data protection as well as to share best practices
• Identify concrete avenues for cooperation between EU, Germany and Indonesia’s businesses, startups and digital associations
